Directly from Germany to the town of Blumenau, Blumenau Oktoberfest is a beer festival. Here the king is the one who can drink more pints. You will find all the excuses to have that highly appreciated drink, both in Germany and in Brazil.
In Blumenau Oktoberfest you will find the biggest National Contest of "Chop em Metro" Drinkers (one meter of beer) and a large variety of breweries, like the national Brahma and also the produce of local or regional brewing like Eisenbahn, Bierland and Wunder Bier.
This festival, already in its 28th edition, was born from the will of Blumenau people to keep alive their traditions of German origin. It spans 18 partying days that bring together folks from all over Brazil and from other countries, too.
Today it's considered the second greatest Oktoberfest in the world, next to Munich's Oktoberfest in Germany. Parades, demonstrations of hunting and shooting clubs and the performance of folk dance groups, together with German typical gastronomy, are attractions that marvel those who come to the festival and that's why it keeps attracting new festival-goers.
